A Founder's Memoir, Animated in His Own Words, Passes Filmhub's Premium Quality Check
Bo Bennett's "A Mostly Magnificent Memoir," made at MemoirMovies.com and narrated in the book's own sentences, is now available to Filmhub's sales team to offer to streaming channels
MemoirMovies.com, a website of Archieboy Holdings, LLC of Marlborough, Massachusetts, has turned its founder's memoir into an animated series narrated in the book's own sentences, word for word, and the series has passed Filmhub's Premium quality check. Filmhub, a distributor that licenses independent films and series to streaming channels, told the company on 28 October 2026 that "A Mostly Magnificent Memoir" by Bo Bennett had passed QC and that its sales team would begin pitching it to channels whose programming and technical requirements it fits. No channel has licensed it yet, and Filmhub has said some channels are cautious about AI-animated titles, so whether and where it appears is the channels' decision.
The memoir is Bennett's 21,000-word account of growing up in 1970s and '80s Connecticut, with a mother in hair curlers, a father with a plan for everything, and a kid who just wanted somebody to believe him. The series is drawn in a light-hearted, hand-drawn cartoon style, with a voice for every character, mouths that move with the lines, music and sound effects. The narration is the author's own sentences, word for word, and only the descriptions of what is seen on screen are new. The drawings, voices and music were made with AI and directed by the author, who approved each part before the next was made. It ends with closing credits of the author's real photographs, set to a song written from the book.
The same film exists in two forms. It is free to watch on YouTube as a web series of 23 episodes of 3 to 11 minutes, about two and a half hours in all. For Filmhub it was released as a limited series of four episodes of 33 to 45 minutes, with captions for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers, artwork and a trailer prepared to the distributor's standard.
MemoirMovies makes the same kind of film for any author of a memoir or family story. Uploading a book is free, and the author can ask for a free one-minute sample: the studio chooses about a minute from the first chapter and makes it the way every part of a film is made. After the sample, an author with a book of 6,000 words or more can order a first episode of about 15 minutes for $149, which is taken off the price of the whole film in full. A whole film is one payment set by the book's length, from $799 for a book of up to 12,000 words, and the author approves it one part at a time and can stop after any part. Streaming distribution is not part of a MemoirMovies film.
"Most memoirs are written for a small circle of readers. A film in the author's own words can reach people who would never pick up the book, and a free minute lets a writer see that for themselves before spending anything," said Bo Bennett, PhD, founder of MemoirMovies.com.
